Case of the Month: Clear Records Make a Difference
The Documentation Standard requires physiotherapists to maintain records that are accurate, complete, and written in a timely manner. The patient record should be detailed enough that another physiotherapist could take over care and have all the relevant information.
Good record-keeping protects patients and physiotherapists.
In a new Case of the Month we look at how records come into play when there’s a complaint and the patient and the physiotherapist have different versions of what happened.
