All eligible candidates must complete the exam registration form in the PT PortalAnyone who currently or previously has held a Provisional Practice Certificate with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario DOES NOT have to create a PT Portal account.

Candidates who do not have login credentials for the PT Portal (have never registered for a Provisional Practice certificate with the College) will need to create an account to register for the Ontario Clinical Exam. Please do that before you plan to register for the exam.

Steps to Create PT Portal Account

Please review the step-by-step guidance on how to create a PT Portal Account.

If you currently have a Provisional Practice Certificate you already have a PT Portal account. You do not need to create a new account to register for the OCE. Please use your existing PT Portal account, do not create a new one

New graduates: You must have a copy of your degree or verified that your program has submitted confirmation of your degree to the College before submitting an application for the Ontario Clinical Exam.

Applications without proof of graduation will not be accepted. Your application will be automatically withdrawn, and your exam fees returned.

Exam Results

Results for October and November exam candidates will be available the week of January 23, 2023.

The cumulative data (candidate scores) from the October and November sessions will be analyzed to develop an appropriate and defensible cut score to be used in future exams. Results from the October and November exams need to be considered together to ensure the sample size is large enough for data to be meaningfully interpreted.

Moving forward, it is expected that candidates will receive their results within 12 weeks of completing their exam.

Exam Accommodations

We are committed to providing accessible and equitable services to all exam candidates. We will make the Ontario Clinical Exam (OCE) accessible to persons who require accommodations including those with disabilities, special needs, or other circumstances, including making arrangements for alternative accommodations available to candidates who have provided evidence of documented needs.

Important: Requests for accommodations must be identified by the candidate when they complete the registration form to ensure that resources can be allocated appropriately and equitably. All supporting documentation must be received at the time of registration. After you submit your request for accommodation, College staff may contact you for additional information.

The College will review requests for accommodations on a case-by-case basis to ensure that candidates seeking accommodations receive a fair and equal chance to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities for entry to practice, without compromising the exam’s reliability, validity or security. Accommodation requests are confidential.
