The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario is the regulatory body established by the provincial government to oversee the practice of the 10,000+ physiotherapists in Ontario. The College is responsible for protecting and serving the public interest by ensuring that physiotherapists provide high quality, competent and ethical services.

In Ontario, only an individual registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario may refer to themselves as a physiotherapist or physical therapist or use any abbreviations of these titles.

The College has recently received information suggesting that Josephine Slaa of North York, Ontario has been holding themselves out as a physiotherapist / physical therapist.

Josephine Slaa is not registered with the College. As such they are prohibited by law from referring to themselves as a physiotherapist / physical therapist or using any abbreviation thereof.

Should you become aware of any conduct of this nature please notify the College.

The public is encouraged to visit the College’s website at www.collegept.org to learn more about the role of the College. The Public Register, available on the College’s website, allows you to confirm if a person is registered with the College. You may also want to do an internet search of the name of the clinic and the physiotherapist’s name to learn more.
