Have Your Say: Updates to Competency Profile for PTs in Canada

The National Physiotherapy Advisory Group (NPAG) is working with CAMPROF Canada Inc. to update the Competency Profile for Physiotherapists in Canada.

This is a chance to share your expertise and perspectives to help ensure the updated Competency Profile reflects contemporary physiotherapy practice, professional expectations, and evolving practice environments across Canada.

All activities will be conducted virtually. Time commitments and participation expectations will vary depending on the engagement activity.

Up to 40 physiotherapists and related contributors will be selected, including:

  • Physiotherapists from diverse areas of practice, and practice settings
  • Physiotherapists from diverse regions of Canada (provinces, territories, urban cities, rural and remote areas)
  • Individuals with insight into entry-to-practice physiotherapy competencies and professional expectations
  • Physiotherapists working in clinical, leadership, education, research, regulatory, or management roles
  • Contributors representing diverse linguistic, cultural, and professional experiences across Canada
  • Individuals interested in supporting the future direction of physiotherapy competencies in Canada

Participation opportunities include:

  • 5-8 key informant interviews (1 hour)
  • 6 participants each for five separate consultation workshops or focus groups (2 hours)
  • 12 participants for a subject matter expert working group (10-15 hours)
