The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario regulates physiotherapists to ensure access to safe, ethical, competent and equitable care for patients in Ontario. To help meet these goals, the College’s standards set the expectations for how physiotherapists should perform their professional duties. They also inform the public of what to expect from Ontario physiotherapists.
To help support physiotherapists in applying the relevant expectations in their practice, the College also publishes guidance documents and/or resources for each standard. The Practice Advice Service is always available to address any other questions.
