Ontario Clinical Exam
The Ontario Clinical Exam is a three-hour virtual exam that assesses a candidate’s knowledge skills and abilities. During the exam, two examiners ask the candidate questions using a structured interview format. The exam includes two case studies, which allow candidates to share how they would approach an assessment and treatment.
The Ontario Clinical Exam is administered four times a year. It is available in English and French. The exam fee is $1,985 and must be paid when registering.
With the introduction of the Canadian Physiotherapy Exam offered by the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR) in early 2026, the Ontario Clinical Exam will eventually be discontinued. During the transition, candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility requirements to take the Ontario Clinical Exam when registering.
