Proposed Amendments to the General Regulation: We Want to Hear from You
We are now encouraging feedback on proposed amendments to the General Regulation.
Changes to the General Regulation Part III: Registration are being considered, now that the Board has indicated an intention to adopt a new, single entry-to-practice exam for physiotherapists in Ontario. This new exam would replace the current two-part exam model (i.e., where separate written and clinical exams are completed). A comprehensive transition plan will be announced in May. Read more about this proposed change to the examination model.
Due to the intention to move to a single exam, the Board is proposing removal of the Provisional Practice Certificate Class, as well as other housekeeping updates. The Provisional Practice Certificate class was originally intended to be a bridge between the two parts of the current exam model. With a move to a single exam, this class is no longer needed.
