Four New Standards and Code of Ethical Conduct - Effective August 1, 2024

The Board of Directors has approved four new Standards of Practice and a Code of Ethical Conduct during their June 24, 2024 meeting, to take effect on August 1, 2024:

  • Assessment, Diagnosis, Treatment
  • Communication
  • Duty of Care
  • Risk Management and Safety

Note: With the introduction of these new standards, the Providing or Refusing Care Standard will be rescinded on August 1, 2024. In the meantime, registrants should continue to follow the expectations outlined in the current Providing or Refusing Care Standard, and we encourage all registrants to familiarize themselves with the new Standards and Code of Ethical Conduct.
