Craig Roxborough Appointed as Registrar & CEO at the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
After an extensive search process, I am pleased to announce that Craig Roxborough has accepted the position of Registrar & CEO at the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO), effective May 23, 2023.
Craig has been in the regulatory sector for 10 years having held a number of progressive leadership positions at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). In his role as Director of Policy at CPSO he has supported the development and implementation of many strategic regulatory and policy initiatives covering a range of regulatory and professionalism issues. Through this work Craig has demonstrated a firm commitment to supporting health care professionals and serving the public interest, and has a track record of building strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and the government.
Craig has a Master’s degree and PhD in Philosophy from York University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
On behalf of Council, I want to welcome and congratulate Craig on his appointment as Registrar & CEO. We are looking forward to working with him as we continue to navigate the complex issues facing self-regulation and the regulation of physiotherapy in Ontario.
And finally, Council also extends our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to Anita Ashton, the Chief Operating Officer – Programs (Deputy Registrar) for her exceptional leadership since August 2022 following the passing of Rod Hamilton.
