Registration for the virtual Ontario Clinical Exam is now open. Registration is open to all candidates, including those who are unvaccinated and those who have previously attempted a clinical exam one or two times and were not successful.
Current PT Residents:
If you currently have a Provisional Practice Certificate of Registration and are planning to take the Ontario Clinical Exam, you must submit your registration form before your provisional license expires on February 14, 2023.
If you do not submit an application for the Ontario Clinical Exam, your certificate will expire on February 14, and you will no longer be able to Practice as a PT Resident.
If you do submit an application for the Ontario Clinical Exam, your Provisional Practice certificate will automatically be extendedfor 12 weeks after your scheduled exam date.
Please note:you do not have to register for the Ontario Clinical Exam if you are planning to pursue the Exam Exemption Policy, however you must submit this mandatory declaration form in order for your provisional Practice certificate to be extended.
Exam Dates and Information:
Exam dates for 2023 and 2024 are available on the Ontario Clinical Exam webpage. Applications will be reviewed, and candidates will be assigned an exam date within four weeks of applying. The College will contact you by email once you have been assigned an exam date.
Important notes for the Ontario Clinical Exam:
- Candidates will be assigned to the first available exam
- Candidates will pay the full exam fee of $1,985 during registration
- All supporting documentation for accommodations must be uploaded during registration. Candidates will not be assigned to an exam until all supporting documentation is received.
