Sept. 26 Deadline: Participate in This Survey to Help CAPR Develop New Single Licensure Exam

The Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR) has started a two-year project aimed at improving and modernizing the entry-to-practice competency assessment model. An important part of this project is the development of a single licensure exam that would assess readiness for safe, effective, and independent physiotherapy practice.

CAPR is asking for Canadian physiotherapists’ help to validate the competencies that would be assessed on the exam. Your input is needed to verify that the knowledge, skills and abilities CAPR is proposing to test represent the competencies that enable physiotherapists to practice competently and safely.

The survey will take around 30 minutes to complete and is anonymous. It is open until 11:59 p.m. on September 26, 2024.

Thank you for your contribution to this important work.

Please note, once developed, any potential new exam would need to be reviewed and approved by the College Board for use in Ontario. The College will continue to provide the Ontario Clinical Exam as long as necessary.
