 On December 17, 2024, the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC) referred a matter involving Patricia Vogel to the Discipline Committee for a hearing.

The hearing took place on April 11, 2025. This matter proceeded by way of a contested hearing as Patricia Vogel did not attend the hearing. 

The panel of the Discipline Committee issued a decision on the finding on April 11, 2025, on the penalty on April 11, 2025.

Finding

After having considered all of the evidence, the panel found Patricia Vogel to have committed the following acts of professional misconduct:

  • paragraph 1 (failing to maintain the standards of practice of the profession)
  • paragraph 4 (practising the profession while the member’s certificate of registration has been suspended)
  • paragraph 12 (failing to comply with an order of a statutory committee of the College when the order is issued in accordance with the committee’s authority under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991)
  • paragraph 13 (failing to reply appropriately or within a reasonable time to a written inquiry from the College)
  • paragraph 14 (contravening, by act or omission, the Act, the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 or the regulations under either of those Acts)
  • paragraph 18 (engaging in conduct or performing an act relevant to the practice of the profession that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional)
  • paragraph 28 (signing or issuing a document containing a statement that the member knows or ought to know contains a false or misleading statement)

Penalty

The panel ordered the Registrar to revoke the registrant’s certificate of registration following the conclusion of the hearing on April 11, 2025.
